AHP Support Workforce – Delegation, Accountability and Supervision
The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA) was collaboratively commissioned by NHS England Workforce, Training & Education Directorate (formally Health Education England) to explore clinical supervision and delegation experiences for the non-registered and newly registered AHP workforce.
The project aimed to:
• better understand how newly registered AHP staff could be supported to delegate clinical tasks to support workers safely and effectively.
• better understand how AHP support workers could be supported when delegated clinical tasks by newly registered AHPs.
• better understand how service leads’ could be supported to enable safe and effective delegation of clinical tasks by newly registered AHPs.
