Any general enquiry as to how to get in touch with Health Education England about its work to support education, training and workforce transformation for peer support, and to link with organisations in the North East and Yorkshire region who have peer support teams

North East & Yorkshire (NEY) Mental Health Regional Team are in the process of developing a career platform across all areas of Mental Health to increase retention and support career development. Conversations are taking place at organisational level across NEY to understand what currently exists in the system with respect to career development, to avoid duplication and identify any gaps. This work will link with schools (primary and secondary schools) and colleges to raise awareness in the younger generation about Mental health roles they can get involved with. The platform will have useful information around Peer Support Workers in mental health.
