Opportunities for Advancing Practice in Learning Disability and Autism Webinar
The webinar explored how opportunities in advancing practice supported the development of roles in learning disability and autism. It covered the MSc in Advanced Practice which includes two options/routes tailored to the needs of the role:
- Advanced Practice Credential Specification: Supporting people with learning disabilities, including people with a learning disability who are autistic.
- Advanced practice credential specification in autism (children, young people and adults of all ages)
The webinar also covered the multi-professional consultant pathway in learning disability and autism. This is an individual bespoke package based on a development need analysis that aspiring consultants will undertake. It explored the differences between the credentials and consultant pathway and which route will be best suited to individuals.
The webinar is aimed at aspiring advanced and consultant practitioners, their line managers, professional, educational and workforce leads. Universities who are either delivering an accredited MSc Advancing Practice programme in learning disability and/or autism, or are intending to, may also benefit from this webinar.
