For employers

If students are employed at mid-point band 5 do they still receive salary increments in line with AfC?

NHS England funding is sufficient to cover mid-point band 5 for the duration of the course. NHS England provide a set commission per learner which has been agreed at the point of the student entering the course.

If you wish to support an ‘uplift’ it will be at the discretion of your organisation to match appropriately and to decide whether to honour increments as they will be managed through your internal HR and payroll management not NHS England.
