Gender Equality

Sex is another of the 9 protected characteristics under the Equality Act. It is unlawful to discriminate against anyone because of their sex.

• The World Health Organisation has resources around gender and health with factsheets, data and tools.
• The RPS produce resources supporting women in pharmacy as it is recognised that over 60% of pharmacists are now women, but that this is not represented at a senior leadership level.
