Mentoring programme opens to general surgery, emergency medicine and public health
18 May 2022
The east of England mentoring programme is expanding and is seeking trainees in general surgery, emergency medicine and public health for its new programme. The scheme is currently recruiting both mentors and mentees.
Mentorship is recognised as a two-way process key to personal and professional development and is advocated by many professional bodies and royal colleges.
Mentoring gives senior trainees who are keen to share their experience, the ability to develop valuable leadership skills, while more junior trainees can benefit from increased support and one-on-one guidance.
Mentors will receive access to mentoring masterclass bitesize online training that can be taken flexibly around other commitments. There will also be monthly drop-in sessions for trouble shooting and sharing of best practice.
