No time for modesty

Remember you are in competition with other applicants to get an interview. Now is not the time to be shy or use false modesty. It is about presenting the best version of yourself with concrete examples to back your statements up.

Often applicants feel reserved and uncomfortable about doing this, or that it is somehow arrogant or selfish to do this. Applicants sometimes hide behind their team and can often use phrases like “we did this, we did that”.

You must put aside these thoughts and make your contributions clear.

Remember: “we” can’t get the job – only “I” can get the job!
