We offer a supportive ‘shadowing experience’ in the week before you start your foundation year one employment. The shadowing experience helps you make a smooth transition from your undergraduate career to your first job – and takes away some of the nerves!
We were the first foundation schools to conduct an Annual Review of Competence Progression (ARCP) to introduce trainees to lifelong learning, familiarise you with assessment and ensure you are safe. We are delighted that this approach has now been adopted at a national level.
We are ahead of the game in career management with a dedicated professional careers adviser working on our behalf.
Lastly and importantly, we really listen to our trainees. Through our annual foundation programme trainee questionnaire we tell each trust about their trainees’ experiences and work with them to develop a quality management action plan each year to continuously improve the quality of your training.
