North East Human Factors Network Conference

The North East Human Factors Network will be holding their first regional conference and are inviting delegates to this multi-professional educational event. The purpose of the event is to improve the understanding of the benefits of applying human factors to healthcare, in particular the role of human factors in improving patient safety and quality of care.

There will be a mixture of presentations and workshops delivered by national and local speakers. We are pleased to support this event, working in collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors (CIEHF).

The conference is now fully booked with over 250 people registered to attend. You can still leave your details and we will let you know if a place becomes available.

 

Target Audience

The event is aimed at a multi-disciplinary audience from all aspects of healthcare. There will be opportunities to network and meet people with shared interests.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Dr Neil McGuire, Clinical Director of medical devices at the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency.
  • Donna Forsyth, Head of Investigation at NHS Improvement.
  • John Bamford, Patient Safety Advocate.
  • Col Mike Ingram, Clinical Director Army Medical Services Training Centre.
  • Melinda Lyons, CIEHF speaker.

Submit an abstract for poster exhibition

There is still time to submit an abstract for consideration as a poster in the poster exhibition area. Posters will be judged by our visiting speakers from the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors and a prize will be awarded. We are inviting abstracts that showcase areas of work involving human factors or quality improvement.

Deadline for abstract submissions: 9:00 Monday 30th January 2017.
