North West Adult Learners' Week awards 2014

Health Education North West is celebrating and promoting adult learning in 2014 and we want your help to identify staff and volunteers working across the whole of the Health and Social Care Sector, who have been transformed by learning and can inspire others to give learning a go.


Laura Roberts, Managing Director of Health Education North West has announced seven awards for 2014 which will reflect the diversity of learning and the range of responsibilities across the Health and Social Care Sector.

Five individual awards:

  • North West Apprentice of the Year in Health and Social Care
  • Career Progression in Health and Social Care
  • First Steps into Employment in Health and Social Care
  • Supporting Learners in Practice in Health and Social Care
  • Volunteer of the Year in Health and Social Care

Two project awards which will reflect:

  • Learning Together in Health and Social Care

Individual Nominations – who you can nominate

Any individual who is over 16 years on 17th January 2014 and who is currently working or volunteering in a health or social care setting
Any individual who is working or volunteering in a health or social care setting who may or may not be a current learner, but who has been a student or self-directed learner at some point in the last twelve months, i.e.: since 17th January 2013

Project Nominations – what you can nominate

Any projects which have been running for a minimum of 6 months on 17th January 2014 or which may have completed within the last twelve months, since 17th January 2013
Any projects which may be large or small scale (for either project award category) but they must involve more than four people
