Education and Training Innovation Champion of the Year
We are looking to recognise the individual or team who has developed an education and training programme to spread the adoption of innovation, or who has perhaps significantly increased the use of technology in education and training itself.
This does not have to be an initiative that was invented in Wessex. We know that adapting and adopting innovation and technology is equally commendable. We are looking for measures of success such as enhancing the quality of education and training.
The Health Education Wessex strategic goal of Training for Innovation describes how the spread of innovation and adoption of technology is a mindset of openness and flexibility. Our aim is to build a technology-literate workforce that can adapt to innovation quickly and can confidently support patients and carers in the use of technology to help manage their own health.
Overall themes that the judges will be looking for across all categories, are people and initiatives:
- where workforce development or education and training have made a difference to the quality of services and patient care and service user experience
- who uphold the values of the NHS Constitution; demonstrating care, compassion and respect
- who have worked in partnership across teams, professions and organisations
- which support the development of cultures of learning.
