Coaching and Mentoring

Stakeholder consultation and wider engagement highlights the opportunity and need to utilise the wealth of talent that has been grown in the region over a number of years.

At the heart of our strategy is a mind-set or ethic that focusses on potential in people and how as individuals and organisations we can enable staff and the populations we serve to flourish.

Over the last year we have supported Harrogate District Trust to use a coaching approach in the design of their process for Non-Executive Director Development and in the wider region we have helped organisations in Leeds, Calderdale, Sheffield to develop coaching approaches to support service users in the management of their care whilst maximising independence.

The train the trainer programme helps organisations establish a sustainable resource to train mentors and those wishing to use mentoring skills. Participants should be facilitators or experienced coaches/mentors who are ready to take on a trainer role. Participants must be supported by an organisational commitment and a plan to deploy training.

Imagine the potential when patients become partners in the creation of health.  We have trained around 60 new coaches in the region and deployed train the trainer models in coaching skills an mentoring. Our work is inherently collaborative affirming our proposition that Yorkshire and the Humber holds great talent and potential.  We look forward to working with you.
