Co-Creation Network: Communities of Practice
Yorkshire and the Humber Leadership Academy fund and coordinate the Co-Creation Network, supporting a constellation of health and care Communities of Practice connecting up the NHS, health and care professionals, academics, service users and the charity sector.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” Margaret Mead
This network warmly welcomes everyone who is interested in learning new ways of working better together, testing and supporting change and exploring the answers to those questions which matter most across our health and social care systems. Anyone with a passion for improving patient care can join, and membership of the Co-Creation Network is free.
What is it?
The Co-Creation Network is an ever-expanding constellation of Communities of Practice, made up of dedicated health & social care professionals, academics and service users connecting to share their knowledge in a safe, open and supportive way. Communities of Practice (CoPs) are a great way to bring together people from different organisations and walks of life, with different skills and perspectives to approach issues together and allow thinking space.
Where is it?
The Co-Creation Network has a dedicated website for its members to have virtual conversations, share learning and knowledge, save a library of useful, relevant documents and generate new practice that can really make a difference. It is managed by the Co-Creation Network Support Team. Network-wide events called Basecamps are held twice a year to support members, introduce the CoPs to potential new recruits and bring in experienced Communities of Practice leaders to give their experiences.
