Dementia care fellowship

26 September 2014

Following the recent success of the Dementia Fellowship in Primary and Community Care, Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS) has secured funding to deliver a further Dementia Care Fellowship Programme to support doctors, nurses, other healthcare staff and managers of clinical services in hospital settings including emergency care staff. Delegates will gain the skills and knowledge to strive for best practice in hospital and emergency care settings and support each other to improve quality for people with dementia and their families over the coming years.

The fellowship is fully funded by Health Education Kent, Surrey and Sussex and is open to NHS-funded healthcare staff working in Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

To apply for a place please visit https://creating-better-dementia-care-3.eventbrite.co.uk/. The course will be held at a conference centre near Gatwick from February 2015 and includes three 2-day modules leading to a ‘Next Steps’ networking conference in June 2015. For more details, please download the BSMS HEKSS Creating Better Dementia Care Flyer. You can also view a video about the programme on YouTube.
