Event held to update trusts on changes to apprenticeship policy

23 March 2016

Health Education England held a pan-London event aimed at Financial and HR Directors to inform trusts across London about upcoming changes to apprenticeship policy, and the support available to them. The aim was to help trusts to adapt their strategy for apprenticeships, receive a return on their investment and achieve government targets.

Deputy Director of Apprenticeship Funding Unit at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, Alex Wilson, gave an overview of the apprenticeship levy, and two trusts presented their apprenticeship models and good practice.

HEE's Director, London and South East, Julie Screaton also spoke at the event, which was held at Senate House in the University of London.

Sixty people were in attendance.
