First HENCEL patient safety and quality improvement learning event a success
27 July 2015
HENCEL organised a learning event on 3rd July 2015 for stakeholders to share and learn from their experiences on how to build capacity and improve capability in patient safety and quality improvement. A diverse group attended, including students, lecturers, practice education facilitators and managers, patient safety leads and nursing directors. Local and national experts delivered talks, and students and newly qualified practitioners gave a case study presentation.
Evaluations showed that most delegates were extremely satisfied with the event. Generally, delegates found the speakers informative and inspirational. Comments included: “I feel innovative and inspired”, “excellent day”, “very successful conference”, and “looking forward to the next one”. Participants suggested more of such events, particularly at universities and to explore how junior staff can be engaged in this agenda. HENCEL plans to continue having annual patient safety and quality improvement events.
