HEE wants to connect with you

16 February 2018

Following the launch in December of the consultation on the draft Workforce Strategy, Facing the Facts, Shaping the Future, we have worked with partners to devise a new interactive online workshop to encourage discussion. The new workshop will ‘crowdsource’ maximum insight, creating online discussion threads and virtual workshops, that people can sign up to and discuss in further detail and then feedback on the draft strategy in an accessible online format. This will complement the local, regional and profession-specific consultation discussions happening around the country.

We want to encourage you to share your feedback around eight core topic areas of the consultation, and enter into discussions with colleagues across the NHS, social care and beyond. You will also be able to start and join discussions, rate and review the feedback of others and nominate colleagues to get involved.

Facing the Facts, Shaping the Future, A health and care workforce strategy for England to 2027 is a whole national system consultation document, produced by Health Education England in partnership with NHS England, NHS Improvement, Public Health England, the Care Quality Commission, National Institute for Clinical Excellence and Department of Health.

The draft strategy takes an uncompromising look at the challenges faced by the health and care system, charting the growth in the NHS workforce over the last five years while setting out the critical workforce challenges that will be faced over the next decade.

Help us to shape the first NHS Workforce Strategy for 25 years. You can make your voice heard, contributing ideas and views until the consultation closes on March 23 2018.

Start by reading the draft Workforce Strategy.
