HEE welcomes standards approved by GPhC

HEE welcomes the initial education and training standards recently approved by the General Pharmaceutical Council as they ensure skilled pharmacists will play an integral part in the future healthcare workforce.

The HEE Quality Framework provides a clear structure for delivering quality in the learning environment and across the functions of HEE. 

Reforming initial education and training standards is a complex challenge, and we must also ensure that patient care and learning for current trainees are maintained.

The collaboration needed to underpin this change will stand pharmacy in good stead going forward.  We will continue to work closely with our stakeholders to support the current and future pharmacy workforce, enabling them to focus on delivering the best possible patient care.
