Oriel recruitment window extended

Professor Sheona MacLeod, Deputy Medical Director for Education Reform said:

"Round 2 application deadline has been extended to 10:00 on Monday 24 Feb in response to the downtime overnight. This was due to a problem with the system’s hosting provider.

We are sorry that this affected trainees trying to apply.  For anyone struggling to complete their application during the extended window please contact mdrs.nationalrecruitment@hee.nhs.uk

We appreciate the help of the BMA and others in getting the messages out to trainees"

Update 

HEE’s Board discussed the recent downtime in the application process for junior doctors. The Board was pleased to note the actions taken by the recruitment team in extending the window and allowing doctors to re-submit applications. We will ensure in future we put out information on Twitter as soon as we find a problem so that we support trainees.

We will endeavour to ensure that in future applicants are not disadvantaged by any process failures and that we keep all partners updated.
