This year we are pleased to let you know that we are planning the following (for 2018-2019):
- 2 cohorts of 25 places each will be starting their ILM Level 5 Coaching and Mentoring training
- The work to get our 'My-ecoach' register of coaches up-to-date so it reflects who in our community is engaged and active as a coach
- Regular newsletters reminding potential coachees and mentees how to access and connect with what they want
- A varied and engaged selection of CPD activities for Coaches and mentors to access throughout the year

Yorkshire and the Humber Leadership Academy launched a new mentoring programme for clinicians aspiring to senior roles in our region, starting in 2018.
Yorkshire and the Humber Leadership Academy provided Mentor training for CCG Clinical Chairs who wish to pass on their knowledge and experience before leaving the system. We received expressions of interest from across Yorkshire and the Humber and a variety of roles including GPs, consultants, nurses and allied health professionals.
The mentoring relationships started in early 2018, supported by the My e-coach website with further face to face days planned throughout the year to support mentors in their learning.
My E-Coach is a way for coaches and mentors to make connections, keep a log of interactions with coachees and mentees, and to create a supportive community via an open discussion forum. The online platform has been provided by Yorkshire and the Humber Leadership Academy to support coaching and mentoring relationships in health and social care in our region.
Coaches and Mentors from the NHS organisations we work with are approved by a 'Coaching Champion' from within their organisation; and freelance or independent Coaches and Mentors are also welcome to create an account to use My E-Coach to make themselves available to potential clients.
Creating an Account and Making Connections
All account types available through My E-Coach are free to register and can be designated as more than one type - for example your account can be classed as Coach and Mentor.
Coachees and Mentees are free to browse My E-Coach to find a suitable Coach or Mentor for their needs, make contact through the platform and then decide together on next steps. My E-Coach will keep details of all messages, meeting dates, associated files for the coaching/ mentoring relationship as it progresses.
My E-Coach also has a discussion forum which all members are welcome to access to share best practice, useful documents and ask questions of the community.

Coaching is one of the most powerful leadership development interventions an organisation can deploy. The NHS Leadership Academy want to harness this power to make a meaningful difference to diversity and inclusion within the NHS by recruiting 300 committed and ambitious coaches to develop their knowledge and skills in inclusion.
Through this programme, as an inclusion coach, participants will be trained to deploy powerful coaching interventions with those on the Academy’s positive action programmes (Stepping Up and Ready Now) and under-represented groups through Local Leadership Academy (LLA) registers across the country.
