Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway (PCPEP) - Approved Suppliers

For Pharmacists enrolled on CPPE’s Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway (PCPEP) who meet the PCPEP criteria to enrol on an Independent Prescribing Course.

National Provision

Health Education Co-operative (including University of Salford, University of Central Lancashire, University of Chester, University of Cumbria, University of Bolton, University of Huddersfield)

Pharmacists who meet the eligibility criteria should apply for authorisation via the CPPE website, PCPEP independent prescribing section. Authorisation is provided to the learner and personalised with the chosen University and date so an application can be made if the university provider is listed above. As part of the application process, all learners will need to assure their chosen university that they meet the course requirements.

Course lengths and the number of face to face days required vary between universities. Please check the individual university webpages for further information on course format.

Independent Prescribing (IP) training is available to pharmacists who meet the eligibility criteria and is fully funded by Health Education England (HEE).

HEE will only fund the course fees for eligible pharmacists at the universities outlined on our website. These providers were selected through a competitive tendering process.
