This programme is designed to help you develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to provide the final accuracy check of dispensed medicines.
Funded training is available for pharmacy technicians working in a community pharmacy or providing medicines optimisation services in the health and justice sector in England, with training delivered by the Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education.

This training is designed for pharmacy technicians and pharmacists working in care settings to improve or develop the delivery of multidisciplinary care skills, to allow greater integration with the NHS locally.
The training is an 18-month workplace-based model, with the last learner cohort starting in September 2019.
Upon completion, you will be able to work with the skills, knowledge and confidence to deliver medicines optimisation for the benefit of patients, as part of an integrated multidisciplinary team.
Pharmacy technicians and pharmacists will become fully integrated members of the clinical multidisciplinary team in a patient-facing role to clinically assess and care for patients, using their expert knowledge of medicines for specific disease areas.
Also open to pharmacists working in health and justice.
The training programme is delivered nationally by the Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education.
This pilot community pharmacy technician training programme is run by Coventry University and supported by Coventry LPC (Local Pharmaceutical Committee).
It aims to enable registered community pharmacy technicians to develop their professional and leadership roles within community pharmacy, alongside targeted workforce and organisational development.
The pilot completed in December 2018, and the outputs will inform the next steps for rollout of training and education nationally.
