Board meetings and papers
Our board meets publicly six times every financial year. Board meetings rotate monthly between public meetings and strategy workshops. HEE committees meet during ‘board strategy workshop months’ to improve the flow of matters to Board, give members space to discuss strategy collectively and ensure the committees can assure effectively.

In line with the Government guidance surrounding COVID-19, we continue to hold our board meetings online via MS Teams. In the interest of transparency, members of the public can observe the meetings through a live stream to YouTube. Prior to the meeting, a link for the live stream is issued online, at the same time the papers are published to the website. Similarly, recordings of previous meetings are available on our YouTube channel for anyone to access.

HEE’s Standing Orders require a publicly available Register of Member’s Interests to be maintained. The register is continuously updated and contains details of declarations of interest made by our board members. At each board meeting the register is received, and any updates are made to add.
Given the uncertainty as to how long the current restrictions will be in place, the position set out above will remain until further notice. We look forward to welcoming back members of the public to our board meetings as soon as the necessary steps to limit the transmission of COVID-19 are lifted. We will however maintain the live streaming of meetings as routine to ensure all interested parties are able to view the meeting.
