Handling gaps in your employment history
It’s best to be upfront about this. This is nothing to be ashamed or to try to hide. Describe any gaps, being as straightforward and open as possible. You have up to 50 words to explain any gaps in your employment history. Think about any skills you may have gained or even just life experience. Be prepared to explain more at interview. Don’t leave questions unanswered in the recruiter’s mind - they value honesty and clarity.
