Return to Practice

Returning to Practice is a very important part of what Health Education England is trying to achieve in growing nursing numbers. Here in the Thames Valley we are working in partnership with the eight NHS Trusts  and other organisations across the region (Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Milton Keynes) to support the return to professional practice of those who were registered  health care professionals but have who had a break and whose registration has lapsed.

Please see the video above for an interactive look at the Come Back campaign.

There are a wide number of placements opportunities throughout Thames Valley, including

1) Acute Hospitals

2) Community Hospitals

3) Primary Care

4) General Practice

5) Private, Voluntary and Independent sectors

For further information contact the universities listed below which offer these courses within Thames Valley:

Brookes University (Marston Road Campus Oxford)

Bucks New University

University of Northampton (Northampton)

University of West London

University of Bedfordshire

Developed by nurses for nurses, returning to practice offers a clear way back into a rewarding role. Created to suit nurses’ personal and professional needs, there is a supportive, flexible and varied learning experience. Rich in development and lifelong learning opportunities, nursing offers exciting career options for all. With no course fees and additional financial support, there’s never been a better time to return to nursing.

The leaflet below also shows further details of this campaign.
