AHPs Deliver – Celebrating our AHP Support Workforce

North East and Yorkshire region would like to invite all AHP support Workers to attend to get involved

You are valued, you are vital, and we would love to meet with you to celebrate the work that you do, and the contributions you make and consider together how AHP Support Workers can deliver on the new AHP Strategy for England - ‘AHPs Deliver.’

 

  • When:            Friday 14th October 2022 (This is National AHPs day)
  • Time:             09.30am - Registration & refreshments,  10.00am - Welcome,  3.30pm - Close

Award Ceremony 

We will be holding an award ceremony at the North East and Yorkshire regional AHP Support Worker Event on Friday 14th October 2022. This will highlight the incredible work being carried out by AHP Support workers across the region. The awards promote the adoption and sharing of good practices being delivered by nominated AHP Support Workers and give teams the chance to review their work and look at the impact they have made on services. These awards will allow AHP Support Workers in our region to receive recognition for their personal contribution to patient care. The awards are open to all AHP Support workers working across and alongside the 14 Allied Health Professions. Nominations can be made by peers and colleagues or even enter yourself.

The categories are as follows:

  • AHP Support Worker - Rising star

  • AHP Support Worker – Outstanding Leadership

  • AHP Support Worker – Raising the profile of AHP Support Workers

  • AHP Support Worker – Above and beyond patient care

AHP Support Workers in the North East and Yorkshire region. This includes Humber, North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, North East and North Cumbria. AHP Support Workers can also be known as (but are not limited to): Assistants, Therapy Assistants, Assistant Practitioners, Therapy Support workers, Clinical Care Assistants, and Senior Support Workers.

They work across and alongside the 14 Allied Health Professions, which are: Art Therapists, Drama Therapists, Music Therapists, Chiropodists/Podiatrists, Dieticians, Occupational therapists, Operating Department Practitioners, Orthoptists, Osteopaths, Paramedics, Physiotherapists, Prosthetists & Orthotists, Radiographers, Speech and Language Therapists.

We invite you to attend and bring along a plus one – this might be another Support Worker colleague, your line manager or team manager for example, please state this when you register your interest.

To give recognition and celebrate the work of AHP Support Workers. To learn and be inspired by each other and consider together how AHP Support Workers can deliver on the new AHP Strategy for England - ‘AHPs Deliver.’

It will be at the Park Inn by Radisson, York. It is within walking distance of York Train Station and has on-site parking. Lunch and refreshments will be provided during the event.

There is a maximum 500 word limit for each submission and can be submitted via this online form Here  

Ensure that a name, email contact, team name, organisation or system are included. 

All submissions will be reviewed by judges following the closing date in September, you will receive notification of the outcome of your submission once this has concluded.

Closing date for submissions: Friday 16th September 2022. We look forward to reading them!
