HEE shortlisted in 2015 Health Service Journal (HSJ) Awards

2 October 2015

HEE’s Talent for Care and Widening Participation programmes have been shortlisted for the HSJ Workforce award. Working with local NHS organisations across the country, the national programmes aim to improve education, training and development opportunities for people in NHS support roles and ensure that the whole healthcare workforce is representative of the communities it serves, not social background.

These two strategic frameworks are making a positive impact on the shape of the NHS workforce. Through extensive consultation and engagement, best practice and innovation has been evidenced and is being shared among regional and national networks, facilitating learning and identifying creative solutions for workforce issues. Hundreds of individuals have pledged their support to the strategies and employers have action plans in place to deliver within their organisations.

Being shortlisted for the awards is recognition on a national platform, that together, these two projects are improving the quality of health and care in the UK.
