ARCP call for evidence now open

We have heard from junior doctors that the ARCP assessment process can prove to be a source of great stress, and that preparing can take a significant amount of effort. As a result we are reviewing ARCP and working to deliver a process that meets all necessary competency assessment and revalidation requirements whilst keeping the burden on trainees a minimum, as well as ensuring that opportunities for developmental appraisal are embedded across all training programmes.

The trainee voice has been essential in shaping the review so far, and numerous panels of trainees and trainers have been used to shape and test proposals.

The review sits alongside the programme of worked aimed at improving junior doctors working lives.

In order to help shape these recommendations, we are now commencing a call for evidence based upon the feedback we have received to date.
