Aviation honour for HEE Professor
16 November 2016
The aviation profession is honouring Professor Liz Hughes for her contribution towards training doctors in aerospace-related medicine.
Professor Hughes, who is the Director of Education and Quality in London and South East, will be admitted to Honorary Companionship – the highest accolade bestowed by the Royal Aeronautical Society to people who have made a significant contribution to the industry but who are not necessarily solely based in it.
The companionship is being conferred in recognition of the Liz's contribution towards aviation medicine and setting a framework for the training of future aeromedical consultants.
It will be formally announced by the society on 6 December at a reception and celebration at its headquarters in London.
