Celebrating apprentices and the support workforce

3 April 2017

The Kent, Surrey and Sussex team held their third Apprenticeship and Support Workforce Awards on Friday 24 March to celebrate the achievements and commitment of people in apprentice and support roles across the NHS. The event was attended by representatives from a number of health organisations across the region, including NHS trusts, Clinical Commissioning Groups and primary care employers.

Before the awards, delegates heard from guest speakers including Kelly Porter, a current apprentice at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, and James Lowell, Director of Clinical Operations for Women and Children’s Services at Medway NHS Foundation Trust, who started his career in the NHS as a porter.

The awards were presented by Philippa Spicer and Mike Bailey from HEE, along with Anne Clarke from Skills for Health, Karen Stevens from Skills for Care, and Monique Lavers from the Skills Funding Agency.

Congratulations to all of our winners and runners up!
