HEE’s Sally Cheshire awarded a CBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours

20 June 2017

Sally Cheshire, HEE’s LETB chair for the north of England was awarded a CBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours over the weekend for her services to the NHS and infertility patients.

On hearing the news Sally said

I'm delighted and very proud to receive this honour, particularly as it is for services to the NHS and infertility patients. Having spent nearly 20 years leading health organisations, I know there is nothing more important than improving the quality of healthcare for everyone who uses our services, and I'd like to pay tribute to all our staff at Health Education England, at the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) and across the NHS who ensure that happens every day.

Sir Keith Pearson, HEE chair said

I am delighted Sally has been awarded the CBE. She has worked tirelessly for the NHS and the patients we serve and I am immensely proud of her achievements.
