HEE statement on UCAS data

4 December 2017

Professor Ian Cumming, Chief Executive, Health Education England said:

Health Education England welcomes the latest figures from UCAS which show the second highest ever number of nursing students to enter University via UCAS since they started capturing this data.

We are also encouraged to see that the number of students who have applied directly to Universities (i.e. non-UCAS applications) also seems to have increased suggesting that final numbers overall for the September 2017 intake to nursing, midwifery and AHP courses will be very similar to 2016 numbers.
