Incredible response from nursing and midwifery students

Health Education England (HEE) is proud to share that 15,051 nursing and midwifery students from across the country have opted to join NHS frontline staff in its response to the COVID 19 pandemic.

Professor Mark Radford Chief Nurse Health Education England said:

“It is very humbling to see so many of our student nurses and midwives willing to support the NHS frontline response to this pandemic. To have reached 15,051 and counting is a real testament to this profession. Thank you all so much.”

Ruth May, Chief Nursing Officer, England said

“These are unprecedented times with intense demands & pressures on our NHS staff so this response to supporting the frontline is incredible. A huge thank you to every single nursing and midwifery student you are all amazing and so valued. “
