Intellectual disabilities programme report

16 November 2016

The Kent, Surrey and Sussex intellectual disabilities programme has published a report (including an easy read version) to summarise the work it has completed so far and sets out themes identified for next steps.

The intellectual disabilities programme works with the other programmes in the Kent, Surrey and Sussex skills development strategy, which was developed to reflect the priorities of local healthcare providers and to help ensure that the local workforce has access to the best possible education and training in order to be able to provide excellent care.

The report includes details on projects supported so far, as well as how the programme fits into the national picture, including the Transforming Care Partnership work being undertaken with Skills for Care and Skills for Health.

For more information on the report and the work of the intellectual disabilities team, contact the programme manager, Rhona Westrip.
