NHS Success! drama based career presentation

Enact Solutions, working on behalf of the NHS across five counties, has once again delivered its Health Service Journal (HSJ) Nominated  ‘NHS Success!’ drama-based presentation throughout the East Midlands.

From 1 February to 11 March 2016, the group performed to 8,200 students and 273 teachers from schools, academies and colleges across Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, and Derbyshire.

As in previous years, the aim was to inspire young people to:

• want a career in healthcare, seeing it as fulfilling and rewarding, as well as exciting with a great social aspect
• understand it’s not all highly qualified specialists, there’s a wide variety of roles, for both men and women, with training opportunities and real career progression
• know that careers advisers and teachers are there to help, support and advise them.

Feedback garnered an excellent response, with over 90% of students saying it was enjoyable and informative, and a further 76% of the students feeding back that they would seriously consider pursuing a career in health and care.
