Opportunities in GP - CCT Fellowships

6 September 2016

An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic GPs to undertake Post-CCT Fellowships in the Health Education England working across the north east.

Aimed at GPs who wish to develop extended skills in a number of areas, care of the elderly, mental health, emergency care or medical education, will work as an integrated member of the team in an employing trust, or organisation for two days a week and spend three days in a GP training practice. GPs wishing to undertake a Fellowship in Humanitarian Medicine will spend six months working in a GP training practice in the UK followed by six months deployment for Humanitarian aid as required and supervised by UKMED.

Working to a job plan, confirmed by the employing trust or organisation, you will experience a variety of work. You will have the opportunity to cultivate skills that will develop a new class of GP, capable of bridging the gap between primary and secondary care and physical and mental health. There may be opportunities to participate in the extended skills areas if you are already in employment. Travel and relocation expenses will be met, along with the provision
of generous indemnity and educational bursaries.

The closing date for applications is 17 September 2016 Interviews will be held on 30 September 2016 and 3 October 2016.
