Pre-registration trainee pharmacist competency panel pilots: Chairs required
31 October 2016
Health Education England is currently trialling in the East Midlands and East of England the use of independent competency panels to pilot a potential sign-off of the pre-registration training portfolio.
For this pilot process we would like to appoint six senior pharmacists to chair the panels, with at least three years’ experience of tutoring pre-registration pharmacist trainees, from either community or hospital from within the locality.
There will be an honorarium for an anticipated time commitment of up to eight days of work between December 2016 and March 2017. The work will include a chair training day, chairing a minimum of two panel days, one day of preparation for each panel, a day to feedback to the pre-registration pharmacists and an option of a further panel at around week 49 of the pre-registration year.
Additionally you must be available for focus groups which are being undertaken to evaluate the process.
