A proud moment: Trainees' big thank you to supervisor following exam success

26 July 2016

HEE Obstetrics and Gynaecology Trainees from across the east of England have thanked and praised Ms Neela Mukhopadhaya, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and educational supervisor at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital, for the impact she has had in helping them pass the MRCOG Part 2 exam.

The MRCOG is a two-part exam, which grants you membership of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (RCOG). It is an essential element for progression in the training programme into the final two years before becoming a consultant.

Amrita Viegas, an ST5 trainee at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital, said:

We could not have achieved this without Neela's guidance. Thank you for being a friend, teacher and guide through our tough revision times and the hours you put in coaching us for the exam. The support you gave us was immense and it would be difficult to sum up how grateful we are.

Dr Alys Burns, Head of Education and Quality (Secondary and Tertiary Care) for the east of England, said:

This is such positive feedback and I hope it will inspire all our educator faculty. HEE aims to support and develop all our clinical and educational supervisors to deliver high quality education and training and ensure our trainees are supported throughout their early careers.
