Health Education England in learning exchange with Ugandan health officials

24 April 2020

Mark Radford, Health Education England’s Chief Nurse has joined Ugandan health officials to share learning on how HEE is supporting the NHS in the fight against COVID – 19.

He took part in a webinar organised by the Ugandan UK Health Alliance which explored the workforce challenges posed by the pandemic and the approaches being taken by both countries.

The Alliance is an existing collaboration between Health Education England and Ministry of Health Uganda to support mutual collaboration in workforce and Health sector development between the UK and Uganda.

Mark Radford said:

COVID-19 is one of the biggest ever challenges faced by the NHS and Health Education England has been working hard to support the frontline effort to deliver patient care across the country.

I am pleased to share information on our learning and how we are working with our key stakeholders to help the NHS save lives.  It is also a great opportunity to learn more about how our Ugandan partners are tackling the pandemic.

Health Education England has made its Covid-19 E-learning material available free of charge to health professionals across the globe.
