HEE online learning resources reach significant milestone

8 March 2022

Health Education England has reached the milestone of 500 online learning programmes to help educate and train the health and care workforce.

The resources cover everything from substance misuse and midwifery to emergency  medicine and end-of-life care.

So far more than 81 training sessions have been launched on the elearning for healthcare (elfh) hub. In all, more than 34,000 sessions are available to access, and more than 13 million hours of learning time have been completed.

Dr Neil Ralph, Head of Technology Enhanced Learning, Health Education England, said: “We are delighted to reach this important milestone. Our programmes have amassed more than 2 million registered users over the last 15 years and we’ve seen exponential growth during the COVID-19 pandemic as online learning rapidly replaced face-to-face training.

“We’re proud to support the health and care workforce with our high-quality resources and look forward to developing many more programmes for our colleagues.”
