Intern marketing team interviews

This year some College Interns participated in a Project Choice Marketing Team, as an extracurricular activity. All the Interns involved practiced creating interview questions, interview skills, authoring stories about lived experience and taking a good photo. Here are some stories created by the Interns over the past few months.

My experience being an Interviewer

My name is Lorell, I am an Intern on Project Choice. I am part of the student marketing team, within Project Choice. This article is going to be about my experience being an Interviewer.

My experience interviewing my line manager was very constructive and positive from the responses I got.

What would you say to convince other employers or employees to become a part of Project Choice?

I would say if it is possible, it is a duty that all companies should take on because there is a cohort of young people, no fault of their own find it difficult to get a step into a workplace.

As people have too many prejudices, and lack of understanding. Everyone can contribute to the workplace if thought out carefully enough. 

What do you like and dislike about Project Choice?

I like the fact we are giving young people the opportunity to learn and find their way in a workplace. I think from a manager’s point of view they should be more interaction with the management.

The answers highlighted the positives about Project Choice, and how it has allowed their department to give a young person the chance to work and learn within a work placement and the employee was able to speak from a manager's perspective of how project Choice could improve their services.

Next part of my interview process, I moved on to interview a student Intern. Overall, the student's answers were highly effective in the way they persuaded young people to join the Project Choice hosted by Health Education England. 

What has been the best part of the Project choice for you?

So, I will say the best part of the Project choice so far is being in a good working environment and meeting new people.

This answer demonstrates the intern best part of being on Project choice. It will allow new Interns to think about what they could achieve if they decided to do Project Choice Health Education.
