Blended Learning - Medical

In 2022, Health Education England will be launching a blended learning medical degree delivered by Queen Mary University of London. The programme will blend face-face, online and digital learning to develop theoretical and practical knowledge and skills.
The new programme aims to give students wanting to complete a medical degree more flexibility over how they study and a wider choice of where the University can provide practice learning opportunities to complete their training.
The blended learning medical degree follows on from the nursing and midwifery blended programmes that Health Education England introduced in July 2020 and June 2021, respectively.
The flexibility offered by the blended degree should reduce some barriers to higher education. Hopefully, applicants from diverse backgrounds will find the programme's flexibility attractive, including members of underrepresented groups in higher education.
More details will become available before the course starts in October 2023.
