Training year structure

The structure of your training year is decided in partnership between the general practice and the employing pharmacy. It is dependent on several factors including the working pattern of the pharmacist in general practice, the duration of the placement and the number of trainees undertaking the placements. The placements in general practice may be a single block or multiple blocks, or the working week might be divided between the different sectors of practice.

All placements are designed to maximise your opportunity in general practice and to give you the appropriate required supervision.
