Multi-disciplinary primary care roles

In primary care, a range of roles make up a multi-disciplinary team working alongside general practitioners (GPs) to provide high-quality care and meet the needs of local populations. These roles include allied health professionals (AHPs) such as dietitians, occupational therapists, and paramedics, as well as first contact physiotherapists and clinical pharmacists.

NHS England has produced a quick reference guide to provide a brief overview of key roles in primary care and online resources to support the new roles in primary care.
