Adult nurses looking to undertake additional training to become a midwife – webinar

Nursing to midwifery

Nurses in the east of England interested in fully funded training to become midwives should attend the webinar on 15 June 09:30-11:30.

The webinar will explain the shortened midwifery programme, application process and funding, as well as being an opportunity for questions.

Staff unable to attend can leave their details and will be contacted with more information about the programme.

NHS England offers the opportunity for Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC UK) Adult registered nurses to undertake a funded two-year midwifery educational programme whilst also receiving a salary. Once successfully completed participants will be eligible to apply for registration as a midwife with the NMC UK, as a dual-qualified registrant.

Attendees will hear from:

  • Senior midwifery leaders
  • Staff currently undertaking the programme
  • Colleagues who have recently registered as a midwife who will explain their career journeys’

Regional universities will also be explaining the course to successfully complete this programme of study whilst receiving a monthly salary.  This will cover:

  • Modules of study
  • Placements
  • Assessments

Although full time, the flexible course delivery enables people to balance studies with other personal commitments. The course will also help develop digital skills needed to meet the demands of a changing society.
