Mentoring programme expands to new specialities

18 October 2022

The east of England mentoring programme is seeking trainees in general surgery, paediatrics and obstetrics and gynaecology for its programme. The scheme is currently recruiting both mentors and mentees.

Mentorship is recognised as a two-way process key to personal and professional development and is advocated by many professional bodies and royal colleges.

Mentoring gives senior trainees who are keen to share their experience, the ability to develop valuable leadership skills, while more junior trainees can benefit from increased support and one-on-one guidance.

Mentors will receive access to mentoring masterclass online training that can be taken flexibly around other commitments. Support for mentors will also include monthly drop-in sessions for troubleshooting and sharing of best practice.

Mentors
