Supporting nursing and allied health professional development in mental health, learning disability and autism roles

A new HEE programme in the region will help promote and celebrate clinical staff working in mental health, learning disability and autism.

Dr Lisa Reynolds and Emma Dillon will be supporting organisations and systems to attract, develop, retain and celebrate nursing and allied health professional (AHPs) working in mental health, learning disability and autism.

To support this the programme would like to hear from staff working in these areas, and people interested in them. They are holding a series of roundtable events to provide national and local updates, share and scope areas of good practice enable your voice to be heard. The events provide a safe and inclusive environment for people to share their views in collaborative discussions that will help inform next steps.

All round table events are being heal online using Microsoft Teams. If you’d like to be involved or find out more please email emma.dillon5@nhs.net.

  • 09 December – 15:00-17:00 - learning disability
  • 17 January – 12:00-14:00 - autism
  • 02 February – 14:00-16:30 - mental health
  • 22 February – 10:00- 12:00 - learning disability
