Three new leadership programmes for nurses and midwives across the region

20 August 2021

HEE has been working collaboratively with the Florence Nightingale Foundation to develop three key leadership programmes for nurses and midwives across the east of England.

The six-month programmes will help nurses and midwives develop a unique approach to leadership and enable them to influence and lead change in their role. They will learn to lead with greater presence, recognise their personal approach, foster a deeper understanding of their impact on others and learn how to tackle real workplace issues.

The programmes include:

  • The Early Career Leadership Programme for nurses and midwives who have been qualified for less than two years.
  • The Aspiring Director Leadership Programme for nurses and midwives who are an equivalent of a Band 8a or above.
  • The BAME Leadership Programme for nurses and midwives from ethnic minority backgrounds and equivalent of a Band 5/6.

The Early Career Leadership Programme is open for applications from now until September 14. If you are interested then please go to the Florence Nightingale Foundation website where you can learn more about the Early Career Leadership Programme. Applications close on Tuesday 14 September.

The Aspiring Director course is accepting applications from August 24, and the BAME Leadership Programme follows a week later on August 31.

Applications should be registered with the Florence Nightingale Foundation via the Leadership Programme section of the Florence Nightingale Foundation website.
