Midwifery expansion

Our commissioning team recently ran a scoping exercise to identify the workforce plans and needs of trusts in the region for shortened midwifery programme 2022/23. This indicated 135 places required in total. Five approved education institutions (AEI) support shortened programmes in the and information on course provision has been shared widely and is available on the AEI websites: University of Birmingham; Birmingham City University; University of Worcester; University of Derby; and University of Wolverhampton.
