Congratulations Shelley Mannion

We are pleased to announce that Shelley Mannion aregional facilitator in the North pharmacy teamhas been appointed as chair of the Primary Care Pharmacy Association (PCPA), Pharmacy Technician Committee.  

Shelley describes what she will bring to this role:

My aim in this role is to support pharmacy technicians to grow in confidence, seek opportunities for further professional development and work alongside the amazing PCPA committee nationally to deliver outstanding peer support for pharmacy technicians.  

Shelley's objective is to support pharmacy technicians both pre-registration and post-registration alongside the PCPA Committee. This links in with her role as regional facilitator in the north on the cross-sector pre-registration pharmacy technician expansion project. Shelley has identified a great opportunity to support the provision of high standards of patient care and improve patient safety through the effective implementation of high-quality education and training and collaboration between organisations to achieve this. 

I am really enjoying my new role as regional facilitator with HEE which enables me to encourage collaborative working practice between trainees, employers and training providers which can also be supported in my PCPA chair role.
